The Power Pose
Before you make your entrance, stand with your feet planted firmly, shoulder width apart. Make a fist with the hand that is not holding your phone and place it defiantly on your hip. Chin up and shoulders back: stand like a super hero.
Hold this pose for at least two minutes if you can. Studies have shown that this pose may actually boost testosterone levels and lower the stress hormone cortisol, making you feel more powerful (A. Cuddy, Harvard.)
This can make you FEEL more powerful, not just look more powerful. Combine this position with deep breathing until you begin to feel your inner strength rising up and you can “leap tall buildings in a single bound”.
